Shadowfax Roofing was recommended to me through word of mouth. I had gone up on my roof for my annual gutter cleaning and noticed some damaged and degraded tiles up there. I was concerned about being upsold a new roof without immediate need. Jerry from Shadowfax came out and inspected the roof. He assured me that my roof has about 5 more years and recommended some fixes to help extend the life of my roof. I had them do the recommended work and they were efficient, professional, on time, friendly, and the work was completed well. I was very grateful for their honesty and professionalism. Great service and integrity.  We purchased an entirely new EPDM roof about 9 years ago from Shadowfax Roofing.  The roof came with a 10 year warranty on workmanship and lifetime on materials.  About 5 years in I noticed something that needed repair, they came over and fixed it quickly without question.  Just recently, a little over 9 years in, I noticed some dry rot around our chimney (notoriously difficult spots for leaking) and called them up.  Ben came out (highly recommend Ben), spent 30 minutes inspecting the damage. concluded it was within the warranty.  Five days later there were 3 guys repairing our roof.  Awesome service!  They could have cleaned up just a bit more as there were pieces of wood and materials here and there but that's a detail.  They got the vast majority.  Thank you ShadowFax!

Wanted a small local company to do both re-roofing and solar installation (so they'd integrate & stand behind both). Went with Shadowfax because some friends had a good roofing experience with them. And Luke had the best follow-up of the eight different estimators I had out (and seemed very honest & straightforward). They did a great job (with solid follow-through) on all the many interconnected steps (removing & replacing old roof & gutters, installing solar panels & electrical components, getting city permits & PG&E approval, etc...). And Luke overcame some obstacles to get me the exact panels I wanted, all fitting on my limited southern-exposure roof surface, and online before end of year for the tax credit.

Jerry and his team were great ! Jerry was extremely professional, experienced and straight forward. I work in construction management and I can say that Shadowfax is high quality contractor. Our house was built in 1923 and they renovated our entire roof in 4 days including shingle demo, facia board, gutters, vents and new asphalt shingles.  We had some dry rot damage on our roof and Jerry called me right away and was fair and straight forward about the additional change order work. We are extremely happy with the end product !

Noting but good things to day about Jerry and his team.  My wife & I were almost sold on a roofer with a little more "salesy" pitch, but ended up going with Shadowfax because their quote covered more work and was actually a bit less than the other contractor.  In addition to a complete re-roof, our home was build in 1920 and the eves were sagging probably 5-6 inches (quite a bit).  Instead of just doing a temporary fix, Jerry showed me what was wrong, how to fix and the guys took the eve supports back to the middle of the roof and fixed it right.  I could not be happier with the work they did on our house.  I would recommend Jerry & his team to anyone looking to have their roof replaced/repaired.

We had Shadowfax replace our old cedar shake roof with CertainTeed Presidential TL asphalt shingles and install a Suniva/SMA 3.8kW solar panel system on our house a few weeks ago.  The results definitely exceeded our expectations!  Their roofing and solar estimators each provided us with a good sense of the options available; both being very patient and responsive in putting together proposals that made sense for our needs.  The installation crews were highly skilled, courteous, professional and particular about the workmanship details while keeping us informed of their status as the work was being done.  A special tip of the hat to DonH (roofing) and Jeremy (solar) for their lead roles while the work was being done.  Everything was done within the promised timeframe, and we certainly appreciate the fact that combining the re-roofing and solar projects through one company gives us a single point of contact if we need any follow up.  We (and our neighbors) are very impressed with the results and have no hesitation about recommending Shadowfax Roofing to others!!

Shadowfax did a high quality job for a reasonable price. I had an almost 50 year old tile roof that I wanted replaced with tile. Shadowfax was responsive with the initial quote, came to my house to talk about the details of the roof, helped pick colors based on pictures I found on the Internet, and shipped me some sample tiles for free before I selected the color.

This installation was also a solar installation and they took my input about what I wanted, such as how many panels and which direction they could face. They designed a system that's providing more power than I expected, did a quality job, and made the permitting process easy. This business was one of the few I could find who were willing to do both roof and solar in one project.

Their final price was exactly what they bid and it includes a warranty on workmanship. We were very satisfied with this job.
